Our Location - FROM ROUTE 91 N or S (The Easy Way):
Take exit six (6) off 91 (Rockingham). At the bottom of the ramp, turn
right onto Route 5 South, towards Bellows Falls. Follow Route 5 for about
1.5 miles. You'll see the Joy Wah Chinese restaurant on your left (it
looks like a great white mansion on the river's edge). Just past the main
building, on the right-hand side, you see the large sign for Halladay's Florist.
Follow that right-ish turn up the hill (Webb Terrace)
We are the fourth house on the left. Parking is past the house & garden on
the left. The sign @ parking says 16 & private drive, please walk up thru
the garden, on the path, so you don't have to walk on the road.
IF YOU TAKE EXIT 5 FOR BELLOWS FALLS:
Turn/lean right at the bottom of the
ramp, from the north, turn left onto route 5 N, follow route 5 about 3.5
miles and then thru' town. You can go straight across at the light, or
turn right, as the road simply divides into a business side & a residential
side, they meet again at the blinking light on the north end of town. From
the blinker, continue north another 1.5 miles. You'll see a sign for
Horsefeathers as you're leaving the borough. Just after the speed limit
increases to 40 mph, you'll pass Hetty Green & Cheever Tire, at the crest of the
hill you have to make a hard left up the hill at the sign for Halladay's
Florist. We recommend you take the exit 6 simply to ease your trip &
shorten your time, it adds only one-half mile to your trip.
FROM BOSTON/LOGAN AIRPORT (Two Ways):
Look for I-93 N, about 2.5 miles from Logan, after the tunnel.
Take 93N to I-95 S (exit 37b). Head south about 5.5 miles to Rte
3 N (exit 32a) Stay on 3 N for 11 miles to exit 30c, I-495 S.
Take 495S to Rte 2 W (exit 29b). From 2 W, take 140N to
Rte 12N (NH). Follow 12N thru' Keene & up to North Walpole, take
the second bridge over the CT river onto Rte 5N. Come up 5 about
1.5 miles, just after the speed limit goes up to 40, you'll pass Hetty Green &
Cheever Tire, at the crest of the hill make a hard left at the sign for
Halladay's Florist, come up the hill & we are the forth house on the left.
Past the house and the garden is guest parking, where the sign says 16 & private
drive. I have been told this is not the most direct way, but it is
easy to follow, as it is all major highways. Personally, I stay on Rte 3
thru' Nashua, then take 101A to 101 to Keene, Rte 12 N and proceed as above.
FROM NYC/JFK:
Take I-698N to the Bronx Whitestone Bridge (toll), watch for I-95N
to Connecticut. In New Haven, CT, take I-91N. Stay on 91
thru' CT, MA, & into Vermont. Take exit 6 (Rockingham) off 91, turn
right at the bottom of the ramp onto Rte 5S. Follow 5 for1.5 miles,
and just after the Joy Wah Chinese Restaurant, make the uphill right @ sign for
Halladay's Florist. That will be Webb Terrace. We are the fourth house on the left. Parking
past the house & garden where the sign says 16 & private drive. Come in on
the garden path, it's much prettier than the road.
FROM MANCHESTER, NH:
From the airport, follow
I-293N/Rte 101. They are the same highway for a while. Follow
101 into Keene, pick up Rte 12 N, take 12 up to North Walpole (about
15 - 20 mins). Take the second bridge for Bellows Falls, off the bridge on
to Rte 5 N. 1.5 miles up 5, just after the speed limit increases to
40 mph, you'll pass Hetty Green & Cheever Tire, and at the crest of the hill make
a hard left@ the sign for Halladay's Florist. At the top of the hill, we
are the fourth house on the left. Parking is after the house & garden on
the left, where the sign says 16 & private drive. Welcome! Walk
thru' the garden on the path, as it is much prettier than the road.
FROM NJ & SOUTH (Two Ways):
Take the NJ TPK to the Garden State Parkway (GSP), or the GSP
all the way up if you're coming from a coastal spot; from the GSP get on
Rte 287E towards NYC. Go over the Tappan Zee Bridge (toll
leaving NJ, none returning) Lean to the left on 287, and get on the
Merritt Parkway (Rte 15) at exit 9. The exit comes up quickly, so keep
an eye out from around 7. Follow the Merritt all the way up to Rte 91N
at Middletown. Follow 91 thru' MA & into Vermont. Take exit 6
(Rockingham), turn right at the bottom of the ramp, follow Rte 5 S
about 1.5 miles, you'll see the Joy Wah Chinese Restaurant on your left, make
the right uphill @ Halladay's Florist and we are the fourth house on your left.
Parking is past the house & garden where the sign says 16 & private drive.
Walk thru' the garden path, as it is much nicer than the road. Welcome!!
If you're feeling adventurous, you can hop on the Palisades Pky before you
get to 287, then follow as above. You can also follow the "truck route" up
87N to 84E, and pick up 91N at Hartford. This is a longer (about an
hour) way, but if you are traveling in the early evening, esp on a Friday night,
you'll miss all of the traffic on the Merritt, which can save you from one to
three hours. Some of you may like the Bear Mountain journey as
well, following the Taconic (9L & N) to 22 to 9 to 112A to Rte 2, the Mohawk
Trail (beautiful, but not a road you make time on) to 91. Lovely trip thru
the Berkshires. That's the all-day drive, but if you've got time,
its worth it!
